2/25/17 (Sat) – 1:30 – 4:30pm – Kids International Breads Workshop
Kids will learn some basic bread-making techniques, including proper techniques for measuring, proofing, mixing, kneading and baking, while preparing a variety of quick and yeast breads from around the world. They will make and then get to take home the following: Hokkaido Milk Bread – delicious soft, light & fluffy bread from Japan. Kids will learn the tangzhong method to make this wonderful bread. Saboob – Delicious Egyptian-style crispy flatbread. Irish Soda Bread – This classic bread from Ireland uses baking soda to make it rise. With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, this is a great bread to bake and share! Barbari – a Persian flatbread primarily made in Iran. Khobz – Traditional round, flat-shaped bread from Morocco, where it is served with almost every meal.
