2/25 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Cooking with Dad: Ramen Noodles
Dads and kids get in on one of the hottest culinary trends! No packets of skinny noodles and pouches of MSG in this class. Learn to make the noodle dough from scratch, then roll, stretch and cut the dough into fresh noodles to be boiled and enjoyed with a variety of classic ramen ingredients. Participants will also learn to make the wonderful slow cooked broths and eggs cooked to soft-boiled perfection. Location: St. Mark’s. 3/4 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Parent-Child Greek “Paniyiri”
“Paniyiri” is a festival celebrating Greek food and culture. Let your taste buds transport you to the Greek Isles as you help to prepare, then enjoy eating this delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal. On the menu: Youvarlakia (Greek Meatball Soup) with homemade Mini-Pitas; Chicken Souvlaki with Tatzkiki Sauce; and Melomakarona (Spiced Honey Cookies) for dessert. Location: St. Mark’s. 3/11 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Parent-Child Fries Fest
Not just French Fries! You can make delicious fries out of many things. In this class, adult-child pairs will learn the basics of safely frying food and well as tips on how to “Oven Fry.” Participants will also learn how to make some tasty dipping sauces including a twist on the traditional dipping sauce, ketchup! On the Menu: Cold Oil-Cooked French Fries with Melted Cheddar and Sweet Red Pepper Ketchup; Zucchini Fries with Garlic Aioli; “Oven Fried” Sweet Potato Sticks with Bacon Mayonnaise; Chicken Fries with Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce. 3/17 (Sat) – 9:30–11:30am – Parent-Child Donuts
What a great way to spend a Saturday morning–making (and eating) Donuts with a special child! You will be making Yeast Donuts as well as tasting Cake Donuts. Pairs will prepare the yeast dough, then fry donuts to take with and share (or not!). Cinnamon Sugar Donuts and Just Plain Good Donuts are on the menu. Location: St. Mark’s. 3/24 (Sat) – 9:30–11:30am – Cooking with Dad: Breakfast!
Perhaps breakfast is Dad’s specialty, or not! In this class Dads and kids will learn techniques and recipes to prepare a variety of dishes to be enjoyed by the whole family for years to come. On the menu: Individual Classic Cheese Omelets; Maple Candied Ham Slices; Soft Scrambled Eggs with Cream and Cheese; Baked Sunny Side Up Eggs with Caramelized Onions; Apple-Stuffed French Toast with Apple Butter; and Cinnamon Swirl Coffee Cake Muffins. Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair (each additional child is $35).
4/8 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Parent-Child Dumplings
Dumplings are fun to make and delicious to eat! In this class, adult-child pairs will make and eat the following scrumptious internationally-inspired dumplings: Japanese Gyoza with Pork and Cabbage and Teriyaki Sauce; Vegetable Samosas with Ginger Mint Chutney (dipping sauce); and Mini-Apple Dumplings for the sweet tooth. Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair; each additional child is $35.
4/22 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Parent-Child Tacos
Not the drive-through variety but imagine making delicious Homemade Tacos! Adult-child pairs will learn to prepare corn tortillas from scratch, then they will make Homemade Taco Seasoning which will be used to season Garlic Chicken Filling and Vegetarian Black Bean and Roasted Red Pepper Filling. Homemade Pico De Gallo will also be prepared. Plus plenty of Tasty Taco Fixin’s! Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair; each additional child is $35.
4/28 (Sat) – 9:30–11:30am – Parent-Child Tarts
Learn to make a variety of delicious sweet and savory tarts with your child, grandchild or special friend on this early spring Saturday morning! Participants will work with Phyllo Dough, Puff Pastry, as well as Chef Joel’s favorite Tart Dough to make the following tarts: Phyllo Leek and Cream Tarts; Caramelized Onion Tart with Parmesan; and Lemon Tart with Blueberry Sauce. Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair (each additional child is $35).
4/29 (Sun) – 1-3pm – Cooking with Dad: Noodles!
Noodles for breakfast? Noodle Salad? Noodles for Dessert? Yes indeed—You’ve got to try it to believe it! Adult-child pairs will work together to prepare and then get to eat: Baked Egg Noodle Mini-Frittatas with Bacon and Herbs; Shanghai Noodle Salad with Sweet Peppers and Scallions; and Birds Tongue Dessert (Spaghetti cooked with Golden Raisins and Milk). Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair; each additional child is $35.
5/5/18 (Sat) –-9:30–11:30am – Parent-Child “Cinco de Mayo” Fiesta
Share, celebrate and appreciate the culture and cuisine of Mexico with this Cinco de Mayo cooking class. Adult/child pairs will learn to make these Mexican favorites: Classic Tortilla Soup with Hand Rolled Tortilla Chips and Queso Blanco; Mexican Chopped Vegetable Salad with Honey Lime Dressing; Chicken and Cheese Tostadas with Pico de Gallo; Cinnamon Churros (Crullers). Location: St. Mark’s. Class Cost: $75 per parent-child pair (each additional child is $35).

Parent-Child classes are $75 per parent-child pair, and each additional child is $35. Costs include recipe packets to take home and all foods, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the recipes.
